About Ken’s Woodcrafts

       While growing up in Ghana I had always been fascinated with the different trade shops in my neighborhood. Miraculously I found myself spending more and more time at a local carpenter shop. And that was where I was first introduced to the flexibility of woodworking.When I moved back to NJ, my high school art teacher introduced me to a low-quality wood burner, and ever since then I've been enamored with pyrography. In the past, I would only make them for friends birthdays. if I felt bored, or if I was interested in creating something.  But soon after that I started accepting a requests from friends and gave them as gifts. Upon hearing about my work, people lined up to purchase it. Eventually, with the encouragement and support of friends and family, I took a chance and ordered my first professional pyrography tool. Wood burning is my passion, and I am hoping to make my hobby into a job, so I can do what I love for as long as I can. I hope that would this website I can continue to grow and learn to improve my craft. You know what they say, “Do what you love and you won't regret a single day".
